Apparently our kids are never too young to start brand indoctrination, and McDonalds, Kinder and Haribo are leading the pack. New Media Age magazine reckon they are targetting kids online using cartoons and games on their heavily branded websites..
"The issue of fast food brands targeting kids has been all but dealt with when it comes to television and print advertising but it seems that some in the industry are going to fight for their right to advertise to kids to the very last.." said Mr Howell Editor of New Media Age.
Whilst vendors would claim they are not overtly advertising junk food to kids, its pretty obvious that if they can encourage them onto their site through offering attractive games etc. then they have a major captive audience to influence impressionable minds through images, colours, and branding.
