Restaurant Description
The fashionable Nobu London is situated on the first floor of the Metropolitan Hotel looking out over Old Park Lane.
Nobu London was chef Nobu Matsuhisa's first venture in Europe and with superstar Robert De Niro as one of his backers, he soon caught London's attention and turned the venue into one of the trendiest places to be seen. Nobu has since become a worldwide brand, where Matsuhisa's signature style of new-Japanese cooking fused with European and south American influences has proved to be a hit the world over.
Nobu's style throughout its many restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, Milan and Paris, among others, is to keep things simple and elegant without appearing uptight. The decor is modern and chic with wooden floorboards and comfortable leather sofas. Clients can either dress up or down and no matter who you are the service remains excellent.
As for the clientele, it is safe to say that the hottest place in town attracts some of the hottest names from the world of music, film, politics and royalty. Given its popularity, it's a good idea to book a few weeks in advance.
