Wild game in Germany is very popular particularly in the south. Quail,
duck, boar and venison are all good restaurant dining choices.
Look out for the Gaststätte or Gasthaus - normally a great value local
restaurant cafe. Try classic dining with Schnitzel with mashed potatoes
and sauerkraut, or the spicy goulash as the locals do. Dont leave wthout
trying the fantastic variation in local beers, and the world famous white
wines from Germany.
